Phatis is back, baby! And what a weekend it was. I have lots of new information to share with you all, so let’s not waste time and dive right into it.
First up, let’s chat a bit about the community-designed Mercenary lochagos! You all might remember (for those who are part of the Facebook group) that Andy Hobday posted up a series of polls asking people to design a character. The consensus was a grizzly, battle-hardened, heavy-armor-wearing mercenary lochagos!
And so based upon the details of the design choices voted upon by the community, Steve Beckett drew up and inked the following design:
I know I posted this image last week, but what I didn’t share with you then (but what I am going to share now) is Stavros’ new sculpt of this mercenary leader:
That’s pretty awesome! But it isn’t the only awesome new item to share.
Sarissa Precision also gave us a little sneak peak at the first new building (a Greek farm) in a new range of MDF terrain for Mortal Gods:
Steve Cumming and his team have done an incredible job once again! No curse tablets for them to be sure. I am sure we’re all really looking forward to this new range; when combined with some of the items from the Gangs of Rome terrain range, there will be plenty of options for the gaming table!
You may have also heard about some Mortal Gods gaming going on this weekend. Apparently at Boards and Swords Hobbies, a bunch of lovely people got together for an Open Play of Mortal Gods on Sunday. Of course, no one invited Phatis to play. They gave a lot of excuses that because I was a ghost, I could use my spooky powers to cheat or something. Buggers. I have integrity so long as I am caffeinated! This is straight up Shade discrimination, I say! That’s it, now they’ve done it. Everyone is getting a curse tablet!
Well here are some of the pictures from this weekend. Hopefully someone at War Banner will be around to write up a blog post about it.
The crew at War Banner also posted up some images of the production resin bits for the webstore, set to go live (with any luck) next week. They had better be up next week or more curse tablet for the lot of you!
They are quite lovely, though.
And that is it for this week’s update! Ευχαριστούμε! Please be sure to lie, share, and subscribe to this blog to stay up to date on all future Mortal Gods content!
